Where are the signs, symbols and cultural manifestations that make up the distinctive\u00a0atmosphere and character of the city? And do we make the same associations when we look at the\u00a0same signs?<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Walk 2:\u00a0READING THE CITY SKYLINE: A walk with architect Fanny Hoffmann-Loss<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When looking at the top of Shanghai\u2019s historic and new\u00a0buildings, have you ever wondered what architects had in mind\u00a0when designing the finishing touches of these structures? Are\u00a0the top random products of their imaginations or do they\u00a0actually have a significance?<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Walk 3:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">READING SHANGHAI VISUALLY: A Walk with Photographer Jan Siefke<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In only 150 years, Shanghai developed from a harbour city of half a million people to one of the world\u2019s largest urban agglomerations of 23 million inhabitants today.
