His books include <em>Reading Images-The Grammar of Visual Design<\/em> (with Gunther Kress); <em>Introducing Social Semiotics<\/em>; <em>Speech, Music, Sound<\/em>; <em>The Language of Colour<\/em> and <em>Discourse and Practice<\/em>.
