Its original name was Patio de los Generales (Square for<br \/>\nGeneral Studies), and it was mainly used for prayer and meditation.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1572968485402{padding-top: 200px !important;padding-bottom: 200px !important;background-image: url(https:\/\/www.semiofest.com\/2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2019\/11\/PatioGenerales.-FiltroVerde-1.jpg?id=7024) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1572967994395{padding-top: 160px !important;padding-right: 15% !important;padding-bottom: 140px !important;padding-left: 15% !important;background-color: #e0e0e0 !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>In the 19th century<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-size: 18px;text-align: left\">the place served as housing for civilians, and at the end of that century became a military headquarters. At the end of the 20 th century, the three original buildings which were part of the Santo Domingo convent were rebuilt, and the CCMC was restored using traditional techniques to return the site to its original appearance.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"color: #1a5055;font-size: 16px\">The unique Patio de los Generales<\/h6>\n<p>incorporated a new conception of space, bringing a different function to the site.
