Doctor in sciences of information and communication at Celsa Paris-Sorbonne, Bérénice worked for her thesis on the mediatization of human interest stories on television news. More specifically, she analyses the emotional rhetoric of personal drama on media and the impact which have these signs in the contemporary imagination. Interested in the process of elaboration of the current events, she also teaches semiology, history of media and theories of sciences of information and communication at the University (Paris-Sorbonne) and in several schools of communication (Celsa, Audencia…).

I would like to raise public awareness of the way information, and more specifically human interest stories on news, gives an image of our environment and contribute to generate some fears in our society.
